Notes for Helen Martha FARM
-Her Birth Surname before adoption was Machado.241,93

-We (Toni and I) always thought that Thz Fo adopted Irmina's 5 portuguese children but we have discovered that they didn't bother with formalities.  They simply changed their name to Farm.635

-She was a world traveler. She & her lady friends would take trips to the Orient, Europe, South America and of course all over the mainland. For a quiet little old lady, she got around. She would complain about the food, dirt, & poor service & yet whenever the opportunity arose, she was ready with her passport & travel itinerary.674

-Her father was a book binder and made the book for her mother.241

-The family thinks that because she is the oldest that she should know everything.241

-When Manuel (her father) died, Irmina ( her mother), who was uneducated, had 5 children to support.  She took in washing.  Her  elder daughters, Helen and Adeline, delivered the clean, ironed clothes.  We know this from Helen, who lived to be 102.635
