760-”I grew up at 316 Bazoobuth, across the street from the Walkers. I was little, but I remember Leonard, who was a Santa Fe "call boy".......making sure the men got their "calls" to go to work. I remember his Mother, Mrs. Walker, spending lots of time sitting on the small wall next to the front door steps. I have no recollection of "Owen" or Mr. Walker.
Conflict:
The day Mrs. Walker was killed, crossing the street, at Broadway & "H" Street, we were sitting in our car while we were waiting for someone that was visiting at the Needles Hospital, when it was located on Broadway, between "G" and "H" Street. My Mother immediately knew it was Mrs. Walker that had been hit. (Because of her obituary, is why I don’t believe this data on the cause of death is accurate).49 As I remember, they were very nice people, but very private.”
761-”You ask about how they looked. Through a child's eyes, I think Mrs. Walker was not very tall and alittle plump, but not heavy. If I remember, she always wore a dress, never slacks. She always seemed quiet, at least, to me”.
