S.L.K. Peleioholani says she was married to Lonokamkahiki for 9 years. He says she died at Honokawailani, Waikea, Hilo, Hawaii.

On his deathbed, Keawenui-a-Umi (Ruler of Hawai) recognized her as the legitimate heir to the honors of the Ruler of Hawaii (she was the daughter of Kukailani, whose reign was taken by Keawenui-a-Umi, his older brother).

She later shared the honors of Mo'i (Ruler) with her husband Lonoikamakahihi, the son of Keawenui-a-Umi.

From genealogist Solomon Lehuanui Kalaniomaiheilu Peleioholani (in Ancestry of John Liwai Ena):
Kauluonana (k) married Kalanioumi (w), daughter of Kaikilaninuialiiwahineopuna I with the second husband Kanaloakapulehu; born were the chiefs Huaimanono (w), grandmother of Kekuaokalani and Kauakahiheleikaiwi (w), grandmother of Liwai Ena, A. A. Haalelea, L. A. Coney, and L. M. Kekupuohiokapulikoliko.

From genealogist Solomon Lehuanui Kalaniomaiheilu Peleioholani (in Ancestry of John Liwai Ena):
That is for us to stand in the midday sun when you can speak with a sharp tongue about the descendants of Kaikilanialiiwahineopuna and Kaukalihoano the third standard bearer of Kahoalii, and therefore, we have taken up our banner and kapu stick . The islands have been won by us-Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Oahu, Kauai, and the islands have been united for us; no island remains, not even the kapus. Here are the kapus:
1. He-iki-holu no Pakaalana
2. He-iki-alealea no Haleakeawe
3. He-iki-pua aholehole no Hikiau

One old Hawaiian story is about the entanglement of the chiefly ancestry surrounding the chiefess Kaikilanialiiwahineopuna, First Queen of Hawaii, and her marriages to four of Hawaii's own chiefs. **
This was the life-style from the second period of Kikiio until the time of Kaahumanu, Queen of Kamehameha I, and her understanding the beauty of the Living God.

KANE I (Husband I)
Kaikilaninuialiiwahineopuna married Kanaloakuaana (k), born was Keakealani (k), who ruled Hawaii later.

KANE II (Husband II)
Kaikilaniwahine remarried, to Kanaloakapuiehu (k), chief of Hawaii, and was born Kalanioumi (w), ancestor of John Liwai Ena, who circulated and first published in the year 1905 the newspaper KA NA'I AUPUNI.

KANE III (Husband III)
Kaikilani (w) remarried, to Kanaloakuakawaiea, and was born Keliiokalani (w), chiefly ancestor of Puna, Hawaii, and Molokai of Hina.

KANE IV (Husband IV)
Kaikilani (w) remarried, to Lonoikamakahikikapuakeawe (k), no issue; they were married for 9 years until Kaikilanialiiwahineopuna died in Honokawailani, Waiakea, Hilo, Hawaii.

** NOTE by Dean Kekoolani - the first three husbands above were brothers (see notes below), with whom she had offspring.
