Captain John Meek's first wife, Betsy Kamsi, also died in 1848.
Capt John Meek remarried in 1850 to Kaluapapahona and had no children from this marriage.
John Meek Jr's marriage to Princess Waihine Kipi ended upon her death in 1843. They had no children.She is buried in Our Lady of Victory Church in Maui.
