Shortly after graduating from high school she joined Hawaiian Airlines’ initial hostess program and was part of the first crew to fly on its DC3 planes. Early in her marriage she and Frank were flower wholesalers and retail florists. She later became the office manager for the Hawaii office of Hamilton Mangement Corp and ITT Financial Services.817
